Gameplay:

Looking For Enemies

It’s a third-person shooter game. The cover to cover system from the previous game Quantum Of Solace was removed.Bond seems to be accurate with any given weapon and with good hand to hand combat skills. Bond’s gadgets include his branded mobile phone, and his whole vision changes, as it highlights enemies, even in cover or behind walls, shows explosive elements and the waypoints the agent must go to. The cars, whether they are an Aston Martin DBS, Koenigsegg CCX or even a tow truck from Thailand, are very easy on hand and the game allows you to drive cars on ice, through fire and many other different environments.

Blood Stone’s stealth elements are pretty well done, and with a bit of patience, you can take out a lot of enemies using just stealth takedowns.Bond can easily lurk in the shadows and wait until the guards reach certain positions and then go and take them out through lots of different executions. If you get fed up with waiting until the AI enemies get out of sight, you can just pull out the weapons Bond can collect and start killing all of them. The game also introduces a new “Detective Mode” for the spy.

There is also a multiplayer mode consisting of up to 16 players that will pit spies versus mercenaries. Along with deathmatches and other standard game modes there are massive objective-based battles where players have to work as a team to attack or defend various spy-themed goals. It has also been announced that players will pilot a number of vehicle types throughout the course of the game.

Development:

Daniel Craig

The game was first hinted on April 21, 2010 when British store HMV listed Blood Stoneas “coming soon”.Then on April 23, Activision reserved a web domain name called bloodstonegame.com. The game was officially announced in an Activision press release on July 16.James Bond film writer Bruce Feirstein was chosen to pen the story for the game. The game itself is built on developer Bizarre Creations’ engine, which was first created for the game The Club.Ben Cooke, who is Daniel Craig’s stunt double in the films, has provided the motion capture choreography for Bond’s digital animation.

The characters look pretty basic and the gadgets and  other weapons sometimes look like cardboard cutouts in the hands of the chaacters.one can say that the engine’s starting to age.

The game’s soundtrack is composed by British composer Richard Jacques. Joss Stone provides an original musical track to the game titled “I’ll Take It All” written and performed by her and Dave Stewart. The song will be featured exclusively in the game.

Reviews and Critical Reception:

It has received mixed reviews from critics. Video game talk show Good Game’s two presenters gave the game a 7 and 5.5 out of 10 saying “It’s not a AAA game, and it’s not very long… But he only just got here but it’s got some class.” They said the story  was confusing but there were some cool moments and exciting cutscenes. They said the cover system was standard but slick and that fights in the game felt too repetitive in nature. However, silent takedowns are very satisfying.
GameZone gave Blood Stone a 5.5 score out of 10 adding that the takedowns were the best part of the experience, but was overshoadowed by the numerous faults in the game. “Even at six hours, this game just felt like it went on for four hours too long. Not content to deliver a substandard singleplayer, however, Bizarre crafted an equally ho-hum multiplayer.”

And lastly me being an James Bond fan would like to give the game a score of 3 out of 5,Because at some part you get totally involved and in some parts you just wanna skip it.But for a true James Bond it’s worth a play.
